June 2007 Tournament Results:

We can’t start our recap without first acknowledging and thanking our sponsors for their continued support.  We are proud to be associated with you and trust you feel the same.

This month’s tournament was Four Ball, a team event utilizing a two-man best-ball format.  The better of the two teammate’s scores on each hole is the one that’s used for scoring purposes.
This month’s winners are:

First Place:  The team of Dr. Carlos Wiegering and Hector Peraza with a blistering 61.  Carlos is the plastic surgeon to the stars and is donating the bottles of wine for our closest-to-the-pin winners this year, and Hector runs the Novecento Restaurant which is one of our Titanium

Sponsors.  (Now, having said that, their handicaps will still go down).

Second Place:  Tony DeNigro and Andrew Hall with a team score of 64.  I’m sure Tony carried the team, but Andrew just got a divorce and needs the gift certificate to Novecento.  (Note to Hector:  I know your place is high class, but please let Andrew leave with a doggie bag.  He lost half of everything.)

Third Place:  The international team of Patrick Simpson-Jones and Ken Forsyth with a score of 67.  Patrick sounds English because he’s French and was taught English proper.  Ken, sounds English because, well, because he’s from England.
Speaking of Irish, I teamed up with Tom Halley thinking that with his high handicap we had a chance of winning this tourney.  Wrong.  But at least we didn’t come in last.  That distinction went to ...

(Don’t worry boys, your secret is safe with me.)
Closest-to-the-pin honors this month went to:
Hole #6:  Sponsorship chairman Jose R. Diaz.
Hole #12:  David Freedman.

Long Drive, Hole #14:  Tournament Director, Phil Josephson proving once and for all that he, too, can hit the sweet spot once in awhile.
And finally, this month’s newly created, yet highly coveted, “Your Secret is Safe with Me” award goes to Larry Silvester and Everett McDonald.

Oops, sorry guys.

That’s it for now.

See you on the flip side.
Sincerely,

Bill Hayes
